Unblocking my Nokia Lumia 635

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have not used my O2 telephone since April as I am abroad and using a local Movistar phone. I am now going back to the UK but seem to have forgotten the unblocking code and the phone then denies me access for increasing amounts of time. The latest time I tried what I thought was the right code it told me to try again in 285 minutes! Any suggestions as to how to sort this out?

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the forum:smileywink:

Do you mean unlocking or unblocking? (two different things).

I presume it's unlock as you talk about a code...have a look at these links

http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-Services/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-SIM-card/td-p/540294

https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form

Either way the code you were given has to be used within a given time which has expired now.

I think this will have to be done when you return to the UK...and you will need to contact customer services

Sounds like the passlock other phone or sim card?
If it's a sim lock you can get a new sim from O2 shop but if it's a phone lock you may have to factory reset the phone or try unlocking it through your Mywindowsphone online.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
