Sony Ericsson Elm Unlock Code Not Working

Anonymous
Not applicable

I bought a phone some years ago and decided to unlock it. I paid for the service to unlock the phone. The code has been received and appears to be Incorrect. I emailed regarding the issue to the same email and received no response for the last three days(this does not include weekend). I would like to raise the issue, but it seems no emails are being provided.

It is likely that the email that was sent was from a "no reply" address, ie the emails are not monitored. How are you trying to enter the unlock code?

So to update the things. I have been supplied with the "Incorrect Unlock" code in the first place. I am glad that I haven't entered more than I should, therefore the phone would be permanently locked. It took best part of the month to get the unlock code. I have read somebody saying that it would take a few days to receive it-forget it(it does not happen that quick). I am glad that I am not an o2 customer anymore.

The codes don't come from O2, in your case they come from SE, so your moan at O2 is not warranted.....

SE do not lock their phones as no point in doing it. They are locked by the request of the operator. So it is partly O2 fault.

By the way, do you work for o2 on this forum? Due to rather large amount of posts here.

No, I'm a customer, same as 99.9% of users on here. True, O2 request the lock, but that's it. They don't know the unlock codes. When you request an unlock they ask the phone manufacturer and they send the code to O2 to be passed to the customer. I do agree though that locking contract phones is pointless but there is a very good business reason for locking PAYG ones....
