Remove sim and give it a wipe.
If no help, manually select Vodafone from your network connection and wait for it to fail, then reselect o2 again.

If all that fails ^^^^^^^...you could pop instore and get a new sim. They will transfer everything over for you if you ask nicely wink

The Vodafone trick will release any blocked messages but can you please elaborate on your opening post @Anonymous

Sending texts can also fail if you have a PAYG sim on a contract account or vice versa,
Have a look and see if your message centre number is correct and some other suggestions here.
