Problem with BlackBerry Torch

Anonymous
Not applicable

My Blackberry Torch will no longer connect to the internet - not even with wifi. I've tried switching it off and resetting but no joy. Any suggestions? It's quite annoying! This has been the most problematic phone I have ever had, and in its current state can only make calls and texts.

My contract is up on March 20th so I'm not looking to pay for a replacement phone if it has gone kaput. I'm guessing O2 won't allow me to upgrade a few weeks early?

Under UK law, yes. Manufacturers have to warrant phones for a minimum time of 2 years and they must last "a reasonable amount of time" which can be anything upto 5 years.

Your phone is still under warranty so send it in for repair. No, unfortunately you cannot upgrade early unless you buy out of your current contract.

Is it still under warranty when it's almost two years old?

If you run into any objections base your argument on the fact that as you have a 2 year contract it is "reasonable" to expect the phone to last the length of time of your contract. You "may" have more luck going direct to Blackberry if O2 give you a run around. Good luck wink
