Password settings

Can anyone please help? I bought my son a Blackberry 9000 from a friend, which already had a password set on it. I know how to change it etc but how do I remove it, or at least change the screen timeout?? Won't let me select these options 😞 Thanks x

It might be easier to just wipe the phone and then start from essentially a clean phone!

To do this, select the Wipe handheld option by following these instructions:

Once the phone starts up again, download the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager onto a PC and make sure the phone has the latest operating system on it.

just out of interest, is it actually a Bold 9000 and not the more recent Bold 9900?
