Hi, My son has an oppo A54 on my account, but it can't send or receive mms. The device help page doesn't even list this model, does anyone have the set up info for this model? Can't get to actually talk to an advisor on the phone, go round a bunch of menus then told to use the website! The website that doesn't have the bloody model listed!

@Mollie118 You need to have mobile data enabled in order to send and receive MMS.

An alternative, which won't cost anything or use up data is to download and install WhatsApp. Both parties need the app. To send and receive using WiFi is free.

@Mollie118

Try texting the word ACTIVE to 2020

If that doesn't work manually enter the following:

Press the Menu key and select New APN.

Complete the fields in the list with the data below:

Name : o2 mobile web

APN : mobile.o2.co.uk (PAYG - payandgo.o2.co.uk)

Proxy, Port  : Please leave blank

Username - o2web (PAYG - payandgo)

Password - password

Server - Please leave blank

MMSC - http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

MMS Proxy - 193.113.200.195

MMS Port - 8080

MCC - 234

MNC - 10

Authentication type - PAP

APN type - default,supli

APN Protocol: IPv4

Press the Menu key and tap Save to store the new data connection on your handset. Press the field next to the new o2 mobile web option you’ve created to activate the data connection – you should see a green dot or tick appear next to it to show it’s enabled.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

No unfortunately, will pop into my nearest O2 shop at some point. Impossible to get through to an actual person on the phone!
