O2 Mobile Operator SMS

Hi,

I have a samsung Ativ S running WP8. I've been using it in China with no problems. I got an O2 SIM card today and I'm constantly getting messages from "Mobile Operator" with the date and time and the local area code/codes that I'm in. Its starting to annoy me as I'm getting about 100 a day and sometimes I get 5 or 6 within the same minute. I've checked all the settings I can think of and cant seem to find anything to stop this.

Anyone have any ideas?

Check in message settings that you don't have cell broadcast turned on.

Thanks for your suggestion. It wasnt in the message settings. I had to go to start/settings/advanced text messages. then click off. seems to have worked now. thanks again
