Good evening everyone. I hope you are all well.

i have a nokia c3 and i have put a new sim card in it for my son to use. but the phone keeps asking for the security number. We have tried the default number 12345 and 0000 and 9999 but we still cant get it to work. What am I dong wrong? OSmiley Indifferentr can anyone give some pointers please?Smiley Indifferent

Is the phone unlocked or is it the SIM swap security number it is asking for? Maybe 1234 or if it's been changed in the past it's anyones guess. You'll probably have to do a factory reset to clear it.

Have U always owned the handset?

If so and u don't remember changing the security then as above, go to settings (mind.going blank as not used a Nokia for a while) then security and there is a choice to do a hard reset, where the fone will be returned to the same state as when u got it (u may even have to redo any updates) sadly the scratches will still be there!!! LoL

REMEMBER to perform any back ups or drag n drop saves on ur pc (any contacts create.a.new.folder under your contacts.folder on ur pc (name so ull know it)

You should be able to do a complete back up and restore using Nokia PC Suite.
