Lumia 640 - bluetooth car problems

Hi,

I've just got this phone. I can bluetooth to the car but there are 2 problems:

1) the person on the other phone comes across very quiet when on a call, even on full volume

2) the contacts don't sync. There is no request to do so upon connection.

I have deleted the phone and reconnected from scratch but still the same.

Is there a way to fix this? (My car is a Volvo and no problems with a Lumia 625 or Galaxy S6 Edge).

Are your contacts copied to your device from the sim as some devices can only read what is stored in it's memory. My 950 asked if I wanted to share my phonebook, can't remember if 1020 was the same.
