How long does change of number take ,my phone has been off for over 2 hours

Has your old sim been disconnected?

It can take up to 24 hours but is usually quicker. Keep rebooting your phone at regular intervals until it registers on the network.

Opened new account todaY WITH NEW NUMBER ON IPHONE 5 MY OLD NUMBER INEED TO KEEP. PHONED O2 6.30 THIS EVENING TO CHANGE MY OLD NUMBER TO NEW PHONE

So wait until 6.30pm tomorrow night, keep rebooting your phone until you get signal then you can make calls & text but if you still haven't got it activated by 6.30 tomorrow night, give cs a call or use web chat. see contact us at bottom of page for numbers & web chat

WHEN I DIALE MY OLD NUMBER TO MY NEW PHONE IT TELLS ME THERE IS A FAULT. IS THS NORMAL IF O2 HAVE NOT CONNECTED IT YET

It could mean that your old sim is now deactivated & they are in the process of switching your number over
