Is it possible to reactivate a old mobile sim card?

A mobile sim card which has been left in a phone for years. Can I still reactivate and use itby dailing some number....?

Nah just get a new sim as you wont have the number associated with that sim & it's most probably not recognised as a sim itself

No, I don't think so. The phone number associated with that sim card would have been reassigned to someone else by now.
