Insert sim card message on blackberry

Anonymous
Not applicable

My husband and I both have old blackberry phones.  We decided to swop phones as my husband has problems talking on his phone due to distortion of sound and sound is okay on mine, but only I only use it for e-mail.  It did not work, as when we put the cards in the devices the message "insert sim card" came up on both.  We put them back in the original devices, but still the "insert sim card" message is shown and only emergency calls can be made.

Please can anyone help with this?

Many thanks

Helen

Hi

Tried again and the card slots are a bit loose.  I have put a small piece of paper in to hold better and now they are working okay.

Many thanks for your help

Did you put them in the correct way round?

Can't think why both SIM's / Phones would suddenly fail. Have you tried pulling the battery (with the phone on) then remove and replace SIM card and finally reboot the phones ?

Glad you got it sorted! I was just about to post to say that it has to be an issue with the cards or how they are inserted in the phones as that message relates solely to the phone's inability to see the SIM card.

But its all sorted now, so Yay!
