My Outlook must have been recently updated as I suddenly have 2 new tabs in my Inbox … Focused and Other. Apparently Focused is for important stuff … but how can Microsoft possibly know what's important to me?
I realised I'd missed some emails because of this, so I just want to go back to one tab.
I've found various instructions for differing versions of Outlook, but they all begin by opening the 'cog wheel' for settings … but I don't have that.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks John

Can you get the outlook app on Windows phones. Maybe you can switch it off in the app?
I don't have my laptops here to try but look at the picture above. Your settings should be in the same place.

On my Lumia 640 I need to tap the 3 dots at the bottom of the screen and settings appears at the bottom .
Once you enter settings, click on "Reading" and scroll down to focussed inbox and move slider to off.

MI5, my folders page has nothing at all at the bottom.

Well . . . I was trying again a while ago and suddenly up popped the Settings cog wheel, and I found the Reading section and turned off Focused . . . Hoorah !
I then tried to retrace my steps and after about half-an-hour discovered that I had to press-and-hold the 3 dots, not just a quick tap or press.
Problem solved, thank you all very much for your input.

Happy you sorted it. I think the whole idea of a focused inbox or priority inbox as it is on Gmail, is totally pants.

Totally agree with you there, Jonsie.
