HTC Mozart 7.8 update?

Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not o2 will be releasing the 7.8 update for the Mozart?

Mine is SIM unlocked (but not debranded), at the moment I use it on the 3 network, but will be switching back to o2 soon. I check almost daily for software updates using Zune and sometime last week, my phone received an update to 7.10.8779.8 (from 7.10.8773.98) which as far as I know is quite old.

So another question is, did that update come from the 3 network or o2? I asked an o2 guru online the day I got the update but he said the latest was 7.0 at first! Then he said it was 7.10.8773.98, so I don't know if his info hadn't been updated yet.

Just checked using Zune, latest update is still saying 7.10.8779.8.

Also, last night I used SevenEighter as suggested in another thread and have to say it was so easy to update to the latest WP7.8. Although there seems to be an issue where if I reboot my phone, all my tiles get reset to medium size.

Anyway, reading your post, I thought o2 had officially released the 7.8 update so I restored my phone back to 7.10.8773.93 and tried to update. Zune only gave me 7.10.8779.8, not 7.10.8862.144 (the latest 7.8 version).

Now an update to 7.10.8858.136

Now to 7.10.8860.142

Finally to 7.10.8862.144

Now, any chance of a debranded firmware just in case they release more updates? Although seriously, I don't fancy having to wait over a month for them again. 😕
