Hi, Does anyone have any indication if or when O2 are going to release this update for HD7?

You can just install it yourself. This method should work for any HD7. I've used it successfully on several.

Anyone in the UK had the update push to their HD7 yet?
Cheers

Not here. I've not heard any word that O2 have approved it yet, or whether they're even working on it. I wonder whether an O2 person can reply on this thread?

I spoke to customer services today and was told that there is no update for the HTC HD7 to take it to 7.8 as HTC have not released it.

And yet I have installed it on eight different HD7s (both O2 and others).
Just run the processs that I linked to upthread. It takes 10 minutes and is very straightforward. It just downloads the upgrade from the internet, bypassing the "targeting" check. So in essence, it is an automated version of the well-known workaround.

I updated my phone its self and its now 7.8. Cant really see any diffrence however it all works. the upside I ordered my new Luma 920 on voadphone so bye bye O2.
Just come clean and say that we wil not support older phones to force you to upgrade

I just used that method to update my O2 HD7, works perfectly even though it took a long time. HTC need to fix the Live Tile for their Hub though.

What's wrong with the Hub tile? Mine works perfectly (displays the local weather). Perhaps try unpinning then re-pinning?
