Denim/GDR1 for Nokia Lumia - Update

Looks like the same as the Amber update very slow to get out the starting blocks except Germany and a handful of others. Looks like O2 UK likes to play with the version before releasing the bloatware to the public.

I'd like to clear this up for you :-)

When we receive updates from vendors we test it to ensure it behaves on our network (sometimes small changes are needed to ensure a phone works fully as intended on a network - ours, or any other network) and to look out for any bugs or issues that we need to report back to the vendor... We wouldn't knowingly release any updates that we felt did not deliver a positive customer experience.

Naturally this process does usually take a few days, up to a week or two usually.

We can confirm that several updates are under test at present, with further updates coming our way very soon. We're still looking healthy for the first updates arriving this month so I hope that's good news for many of you.

As and when more info is known, i'll be sure to update everyone.

PS. At this stage we can't confirm precisely which Lumia handsets will be amongst the first, but hope to have that info in the coming days.

Thanks for this - you say you can't say which will be first, but can you tell us which ones 02 haven't got - which is implied from your post.  Think of it as managing the expectations of those of us who would probably rather not get our hopes up then start seeing it roll out, only to be told that it was never in the offing.

No pressure, your now featuring on the Window Central website news feed saying that 02 will make Denim available before the end of the month. Looks like they have taken the recent update as gospel.
