Data Usage in the Past 7 Days

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a 750 MB monthly plan   My reamining data available suddenly dropped overnight to 20% left   This might explain why my BlackBerry Z10 TuneIn app was "Loading" for 3 hrs since I launched it at 03:24 on 07/02/14 without full completion  I like to know if it is possible to get records of data usage in the 24 hour period around that time ; (ie does O2 have data usage records by the day- or records of monthly usage only)

I want to know because my Wifi router keeps logging of my WiFi router-BlackBerry WiFi connection  I am currently with Plusnet, but my WiFi router-BlackBerry WiFi disconnection happened dramatically with my old ISP, and I spent a lot of money on O2 data top-up  I need to know this to ascertain if my Blackberry Z10 phone is faulty

If you are connected to WiFi at home, particularly overnight then there is no way for youre data usage to be used up.

What is more likely is that you are using data on your phone through the day from recieving emails, browsing or using an App like TuneIn when you aren't connecting to WiFi. Some apps will use up data very very quickly. As mentioned, the MyO2 site collates all data used throughout the day and shows a single amount which appears at midnight every night.

If it isn't that then I can only assume that when you are at home your phone is dropping the WiFi signal and so reverts back to cellular data. This is more likely to be your router thats at fault than your phone, unless you have another device that stays connected to your WiFi all the time. Are you using the cheap default router that Plusnet sent you when you moved to them as an ISP?

When you say you launched TuneIn at 03:24...was it connected to WiFi (the 4 curved bars in the top right corner)? If not, then as TuneIn is streaming radio it will use up your data allowance VERY quickly...especially leaving it running for 3 hours.

If you want an App that records all data usage, then I would recommend Fire Chest however it isn't headless yet so you need to leave it running at all times in an Active Frame. This app also records how many texts you have sent and your calltime usage.

CS should be able to give you a daily usage figure, is that what you mean?

Hi,

Their are apps you can use to monitor your data usage.

Perhaps one of the other members can highlight ones they use on their blackberries and find useful.

O2 will be able to advise whats being used etc.

Ring them on 202.

I believe data usage collates at midnight with o2
