According to O2 there is good coverage for 4G in my area and no current problems. I have had a new 4G Blackberry for two weeks and phone calls I make or receive in my house keep failing. Why?

Calls are routed over 2G or 3G, not 4G, but first you should check your postcode here for any local faults http://status.o2.co.uk/
Indoor coverage can also be effected by building construction. Do calls fail when outside or in a different location?

Is it possible to switch 4G off and see if that helps?

Yes that is an option Gemz good suggestion
I dislike no longer having the option to turn off 3g due to upgrding to 4g.
The option was removed.
The phone would switch to 3g etc for voicecalls as 4g does not support that.

I know Bob I honestly can't see why O2 have removed this option and it is O2 but you can still turn off 4g can't you?
Hi @Anonymous
Their was a big discussion not long ago about that very subject.
Still awaiting a reply but it goes along the line that o2 wants its customers to be on the best platforms available etc etc.
Yes I can turn off 4G via the toggle in my iPhones settings which pushes it to 3G , but i'm luck to be in a strong area for 4G and 3G.
Some others are not so fortunate.
