I got a notification saying there was new software available (Version 7.1.0, bundle 2931) and when I press download,
either:
- It says preparing to download and then a message comes up after less than a minute saying 'The download cannot continue because your device cannot connect to the update server using any of the following methods: wi-fi'
-or it says preparing to download for several minutes and then a box comes up: 'Update request failed. Try again later or update using Blackberry Desktop Manager on your computer.'
I have tried to update in the internet and through Blackberry desktop software, but both say there are no new updates available!
Can anybody help?

I have heard of this happening on the legacy BlackBerry phones on O2. For some reason it won't work over Wifi, and Desktop manager won't show an update but the OTA update will work over the cellular network!
However, you can download the latest official OS version from O2 for your phone from Blackberry:
