BBM Associating with your Blackberry ID?????

My BBM on my blackberry has been saying that for two days now. How can I get BBM working again. I have upgraded my phone and have put the SIM back in the Blackberry in order to use BBM. Any answers/suggestions would be appreciated greatly.

Ok so it's a new phone with an old sim?

I believe BBM is tied into the imei number of handsets so even though you currently have the right sim your phone won't be recognised until its been changed. I think only RIM CS can do that for you.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink

I think you have to de-register the phone then it can be associated with the new one. However, I'm sure that it has now been made independent from the phone but it might only be applicable to the phones in the last couple of years.

But something just clicked: have you set up a Blackberry ID? If you do that then whatever device you put the sim it, it should then work. Try creating one from the settings -> Blackberry ID which may be the same as the BB App world one.

Try checking the time zone as I think it sounds like it's the wrong one and thats whats causing the issue.

Change it to GMT and then do a battery pull and if that helps?

Good Luck
