Hi!  Vodafone are stating that they cannot share/consolidate a 5G mast with O2.  This is not in line with the Wireless Network Code of Practice.  Is there anyone who could confirm that this is true?

Vodafone only need to prove it's not practical to share a mast site and where it would hamper future site expansion, and if its for example an openRAN site then that is classed as a Proof Of Technology site, so Vodafone for commercial reasons can refuse to share as well.

At the end of the days it isnt a legal framework its a code of best practice..

Is there any reason for asking??

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

This is a customer to customer forum so we can't help you.

Also the staff on here have no way of accessing the information you require.

There are probably technical reasons why this can't be done and mast sharing only takes place when it is reasonably possible to do.

Not all Vodafone / O2 masts are shared. Some round me are, others aren't.

Perhaps you could direct us to the relevant section in the code of practice?

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
