Just thought I would give a bit of a heads up here.

I know a few of us have these Wifi boxes and Firesticks.

I have one in the UK and one here in Spain. It looks as if those that come 'fully loaded' will soon be no more

Of course there is a way round it. Don't buy them fully loaded....then put on what you like when you get it.

That's what I did with the one I got for my son.

Also a lot of streams are perfectly legal...

It appears to be the selling of 'fully loaded' boxes etc that is the issue here....

I'll take it while it lasts.

Film On isn't illegal. None of the 'pay for' services are ...Freemium or Premium as they are called.

There is also a hell of a lot you can stream through Now TV....

It's a hypocritical if honest. Look at the sites like Torrent and others where you can download films etc etc etc..

I am not saying its right or legal.....I am simply expressing an opinion.

Also in some areas of Spain the ability to get UK TV channels is nigh impossible now Sky have jiggered about with the satellite. WiFi boxes are used ad infinitum here...

Just to say they are still being sold in Spain. Took a picture of this advert in this weeks Local TV magazine.

The advert is one of many featured in Newspapers and other magazines

Still on sale here but sold by foreigners who want a monthly subscription of £15 although the box is free. Non of the suppliers on Amazon.co.uk or .com will deliver here so you pay a description of a one off fee for a dish but there are no legal implications using one here.

Not illegal anywhere if honest @jonsie. Wifi boxes are fine. They are Android and plenty of stuff to download from the store. Film On is also legal. It's the Kodi app that allows download of Sky stuff  that is the problem. The answer is don't buy them fully loaded. (easy enough to get the stuff you want...even if you need to use an Android emulator to get it...) wink

Laws will be passed sooner to later to make them illegal to have certain apps installed on them.
The legit ones aren't the problem.

They are fully loaded here which is obviously why they sell and felangs are willingly paying a subscription. Not sure even Sky or BT could bring a successful prosecution here.
