Peter Skellern who was a songwriter and musician has died aged 69 He had brain cancer

He later turned to the Priesthood and was ordained in October of last year.

Sad to hear this news ... I can picture him in my mind's eye playing the piano & singing 'You're a Lady'

I have just listenend to Last Word on BBC Radio 4 ... Peter Skellern's life was one of those reviewed ... pieces of his songs were played ... = ... he had such a clear voice which was not over-shaddowed by the piano or orchestra ... he teamed up with Richard Stilgoe who asked a woman why she rushed to get Peter's autograph & not his own ... the lady answered because when you sing Richard you sing to everyone, when Peter sings he sings to me ... R.I.P. Peter
