nexus 5

Anonymous
Not applicable

Anybody looking forward to the imminent announcement of the nexus 5, I personally thought the nexus 4 was a amazing phone.

The nexus phone benefits are pure android no manufacturers overlays.

Unlocked from the manufacturer.

First to receive firmware updates..Etc

High end specifications at low prices.

Anyone agree/disagree.

I may well consider this for my next phone but will wait for the reviews. Looks very interesting.

My shortlist for my next phone:

Nexus 5
Lumia 1020
Xperia Z1 mini
LG G2

Probably in that order too.

Strangely not bothered by it. If its cheap enough in comparison to the Nexus 4 then it might be worth considering but I seriously doubt it will be launched at the Nexus 4 price. Spec-wise I don't think it would be that much of an upgrade to dump the Nexus 4 at this point in time.

That and I'm not exactly in need of a new phone this year!

I read an article earlier, which I unfortunately can't find again, that said the Nexus 5 will be selling for half the price of an iPhone 5S.

Good article, but no, it's this one. Mind you, it's an American based article, so it may not apply to the UK:

Edit: Actually, it's based on the Tech Radar link you posted, so yes it is.:smileyhappy:

Well if the price is anything like the estimates then it's looking very tempting.

4.96 inch screen is possibly considered smaller than average, five inch could be considered the norm. Though manufacturers are taking note and shrinking the bezel around the screen to minimize the phones dimensions.

I'll certainly be giving this a look, I've had a Nexus 4 16Gb for nearly a year and although I'm not a heavy user and it's not had a pasting, it's been an excellent phone for the money.

You can't ignore them at these price levels.

Interesting list, how come the Z1 mini is on there instead of the Z1?

All the other devices being full sized screens then a mini thrown in there grin
