miss o2 if I leave

Hello!

Didn't know where to put this. Thanks o2 it took the text you sent today to tell me that you are raising the prices up for bills; this was truly the last nail in the coffin for me to look elsewhere. Sadly enough I am slightly sad to go. Been with you for over 10 years. But your signal of late (few years) has been atrocious. The choices of phones haven't been limited and little insulting, especially if you are on a budget. Not everyone wants an iPhone. Customer service they'd answer the phone which is a start, but things in the past they never dealt with and had to shrug off.

What I'm really going to miss is the priority moments. Which isn't so great, but when you have the deals I like it's really cool. Oh well onto another network, hopefully with better reception!

Glad everyone else is happy with this network though 🙂

Back on topic.

I'm on payg using their 4G service which is strong averaging at 50mbps download speeds ,and generally get full signal bars.

I'm happy at what I receive for my monthly payment for now.

The other networks at present do not come close to coverage.

Obviously as a Payg customer with an unlocked iPhone I can migrate whenever I want. One reason I choose not to lock myself into a long mobile phone contract.

I'll obviously be watching if and when the payg tariff and bolt on charges increase.

Sore point with me about pay monthly customers being penalised yet again.

I'm sure it is Jonsie and rightly so.

I sympathise with all the people on pay monthly affected by this recent change.

I'm still on my legacy contract which has unlimited web, but that's for 3G, which is fine for now. My monthly sub will only be going up by 56p, and it certainly isn't anything I can't live with, but to be honest, I'm just waiting for GiffGaff to roll out their 4G tariffs. I buy my phones sim free now, so there really isn't anything that O2 can offer to keep me as a customer. I'm even toying with the idea of going to Three, which has very good coverage where I live, and their sim only deals look attractive too, especially as they won't be charging extra for 4G when they roll it out....at least for now....

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Halfway through my contract and out of the blue a text
message announcing an unexpected rise and I can't cancel the
contract because of the small print. 12 months
left then goodbye O2. I'm disgusted.

Sorry that my initial posting was a little shabby in the grammatical sense, grrr! But you got my point.

Grass being greener on the other side....I am tired being stuck in mud so I am going to explore. I am going to do what o2 say and BE MORE DOG 🙂 else where. If it's a bad experience, oh well you live and learn. We all need to make mistakes. And o2 have not been perfect, on my phone and some of my family's too.

As for customer service, truthfully this forum helps me before I go to them. Speaks volumes doesn't it. But luckily I have been fortunate enough to call them up about incorrect billing, a shoddy phone but not for bills. As for going into the shop I don't bother. Talk about workers dragging knuckles. I won't name the area of shops. I want to cough...haha

The only thing I will miss is priority moments. And as someone suggested, if I miss it that badly get a payg sim. Easy.

I am going to get super savvy like Martin Lewis (money saving guy). You don't get anywhere sticking around.

I am just jealous, yet happy o2 is great for everyone else. Oh an I am South East of the river, unless elderly folk are mugging you....haha

If you think about it though. An extra 56p a month equates to...

VERY ROUGHLY....

£10 million a month extra income for O2………

You are doing the right thing, all of the networks will post you out a free sim so you can test for signal before making any commitment.
