iTunes 11 is available to download

The new look iTunes 11 is available to download.

Here's what's new:

"A completely redesigned player. A newly remodeled store. And even more iCloud features. Everything you love about iTunes just got better. And easier"

"iTunes now features simplified views of exactly what you want. Looking for an album? Click Music and that’s all you’ll see. Do the same for movies, TV shows, apps — and everything else. It’s browsing made more intuitive"

"Expanded view. Select one of your albums and now it will expand in place. That means you can see all the songs on the album, click Play, and keep right on browsing without having to click back to your library. You’ll also see In the Store recommendations for similar albums you’ll want to check out"

"New mini player. We squeezed more features into an even smaller MiniPlayer. Now you can click the Up Next button to see which songs are playing next. And if what you see isn’t what you’re in the mood for, you can search your collection and choose a different song — without having to open your library"

Overall I like it, its a fair bit of a change from the old iTunes, but like anything different it takes a bit of time to get used to it.

Just one annoyance I've found with it, is that it doesn't seem to fit my screen properly (sides of the program are off of the edge of the screen).

I've managed to sort this by adjusting the iTunes window to the required size to fit my screen. I dragged the sides and bottom of the iTunes screen/window to the required size. I then held down the CTRL key and clicked on exit from within the File menu in iTunes.

Now the iTunes window loads up at that size again and is no longer cut off. slight_smile

It looks shiny and fresh, no real performance issues.

shiny and new sums it up. No performance issues either and the store seems quicker than it used to be.
