Thank you unfortunately becuse of my dyslexia and dyspraxia I can't do the twirls and throw stick in air

My son has dyslexia, diagnosed in his twenties 

When I was someone on the local trad jazz / swing scene I always enjoyed the drummer taking centre stage as it were = why not? some band leaders are drummers ... you need good rhythm to dance, it is not easy to teach or learn ... ... ... does rhythm come into the playing of drums or are you more like a cool jazz drummer to my way of analagy ... (my son faces difficulties with dyslexia but overcomes them in his own way) ... ... ... liked your change of timing
