Just great @BOSSGOGG wink

Pity you aren't at Silverstone today. The 70th Anniversary of F1 at this great track. The atmosphere seems just brilliant. The drivers will be taken round pre-race in classic cars.

@Cleoriff thanks. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ.

Would love Silverstone. Probably not for the F1 though. I'm the car nerd's car nerd but F1 is low down on my list these days. Lots I prefer before it.
And at a minimum of ยฃ185 a ticket, the "British" GP is low on my list. Although F1 wise we are thinking of doing Hungary again next year.
Been going to the EU Moto GP's also, Valencia being our favourite weekend.

Did you see the Porche GT's this morning? Managed to catch them before heading back up the road. Far more fun than the F1's.

Great photos @BOSSGOGG as always. Fantastic cars; the yellow one particularly stands out for me.

It might have been a dull day for pictures but that didn't stop you taking some great photos, as always. Not into racing personally but still some fantastic cars.

Great photos as usual @BOSSGOGG @ but seeing some of the stills and slow motion replays from F1 today was brilliant. Just wish I had half the talent of yourself and any individual who can give such visual enjoyment.

Not been to Santa Pod for a few years now.
Used to go "regularly" as friends were part of a drag team. Will have to see if I can drag out a picture.
Also need to put up a couple from the trip to Whipsnade yesterday...

Got others but most are variations on the above or more focused on family.

Before we get into the whole discussion on if zoos are the right place for wild animals...

They are not. Simple as. But if the choice is to have these animals in a zoo or not at all (or at risk of poaching/hunting/etc) then a zoo it is.

Great photos of your day at the zoo @gmarkj and I totally agree with you. Not a great one for zoos either but better the animals are kept safe in a zoo then not safe at all.

I must have my say about Zoos @gmarkj

As wildlife in the world is being decimated by destruction of the rainforests, natural habitats and trophy hunting, then Zoos, particularly those who are conservation accredited, are the only places where we can ensure the survival of the species.

According to WWF, 50 elephants a month are being killed. Tigers are on the critically endangered list along with many other species.

So let's have more Zoos. 30 years ago I wouldn't have said that, however I want my childrens children to see these beautiful animals.

Lovely pictures by the way wink

Thank you both @Glory1 and @Cleoriff for your kind words.
I really liked the pose in the second lion picture. One of our cats spends most of his day in that position at the minute!
Whipsnade have had a good year this year - they have had sealion, zebra, wolverine and giraffe babies this year so are rightly pleased.

One of my cats (Gizmo, the ginger whinger) spends a lot of his time in that position as well @gmarkj

I have no idea why, as when you attempt to give his belly a rub, he will take your hand off if you don't move quickly rofl
