Word Hunt Diamond - Game 65 Challenge?

Welcome to the Word Hunt Diamond - Game 65

The game is open to all members.

Each week, a grid of nine letters in a diamond will be posted.

The aim of the game is to find the target number of words [as in the source used for the game] using only the letters in the grid.

This week`s "diamond" is as follows:

This week`s Word Hunt Diamond might be challenge - with a larger target of 89 words, including TWO nine-letter words, and, for the first time, the red letter is W.

The rules:

Each word must contain four letters or more and must include the red letter W.

No proper names are allowed.

Scottish words and American spellings are allowed.

Each letter in the grid can only be used once in each word [for example, SWEEP isn`t allowed]

Of course, words do not have to start with the red letter W

Only one word per post.

Please wait until someone else has posted before posting again.

I will endeavour to give regular updates on each page [so as to avoid scrolling back] of the words found and the number of words still to be found.

The Word Hunt Diamond game is open to all members.

I hope everyone enjoyed the game and well done everyone for finding the 89 words in the list in the source used for this game and also 29 words not in the list before the end of the game and one word - POWNIE not in the list after the last word was given = making a total of 30 words not in the list.

The Word Hunt Diamond will be back next Tuesday - 29 June 2021 with a different target and different set of letters and different red-letter. I hope all the Diamond Dogs of Words will join in next Tuesday.

Pleased you enjoyed the game and well done on finding one of the two nine-letter words.

This game had one of the biggest targets; but I remember in the early days of WHD some games continued well into the early evening, so probably not the longest time-wise.

I think - as the title of this WHD suggests - this was a challenge nd well done everyone who took part in a great team effort.

Next week`s WHD will not be as hard

Well done @pgn on finding the last word; and sorry @Anonymous that you nearly missed out on your sausages...

I`ll try and find a nice, easier game for next Tuesday with a target of between 75 and 80, so should not take the usual Diamond Dogs of Words that long to solve.

Oh boy that continued well into the evening  This was a tricky one but really had my brain cells going, so thank you for that @Mi-Amigo, I really enjoyed it
