Word Hunt Diamond - Game 140

Welcome to

The Word Hunt Diamond Game is posted on Off Topic every Tuesday and is open to all members.

The aim of the game is to find the target number of words [as in the source used for the game] using only the letters in the grid.

Today`s Word Hunt Diamond has the following grid....

This week`s target is a target of 72 words - using only letters in the diamond - inc one 9-letter word.

 RULES

No proper names are allowed.

Each word must contain four letters or more and must include the red letter F.

Scottish words and American spellings are allowed.

Each letter in the grid can only be used once in each word 

Of course, words do not have to start with the red letter F.

Each player may post up to two words per post.

Please wait until someone else has posted before posting again but if the game is running slow,

and no-one has posted for at least 10 mins, then a player may post again. 

PLEASE NOTE:

During the game, I will have to STOP the game periodically so I can give updates of words found.

Please be patient and wait. I hope this does not cause too much delay or disruption to the game. 

Towards the end of the game, as soon as the LAST WORD in the list is given, I will post an announcement - LAST WORD FOUND. PLEASE STOP THE GAME - and I will then post my reply to the words given up to the announcement, showing whether the word is in the list or is a word not in the list; after that, I will post the Congratulations - who found the last word; who found the nine-letter word; and who gave the most words not in the list up to when I posted the announcement LAST WORD FOUND, PLEASE STOP THE GAME.

I will be giving awards to players 

  - for finding the nine-letter word

     - for finding the last word in the list in the source used for the game

   - for finding the most words not in the list up to when announcement

                 LAST WORD FOUND, PLEASE STOP THE GAME [words after announcement will not count]

The Word Hunt Diamond game is open to all members.

Can you, between you, not only find the 72 words in the list [in the source used for this game], and the nine-letter word in this WHD game, but also find additional words not in the list ?

I'll echo the comments from @Cleoriff & @pgn and say it will be a very well earned break @Mi-Amigo !

I contribute as and when I can - some days are better than others - but the amount of admin to prepare and run the WHD must be considerable. So a holiday is well deserved!

The problem is @gmarkj, I won't know what the heck to do with myself 😂

The amount of people I have refused appointments with on a Tuesday, beggars belief.

District nurses, hairdressers, therapists, GP's, even a hospital consultant on one occasion.

However the work that goes into the WHD is phenomenal, simply because it's so fast moving.

@pgnwon't mind me saying this but last week he did a 62 piece Word Jumble and at one point he dropped me a PM to say he had NO idea how @Mi-Amigo did the WHD as he was so far behind. It was a brilliant piece of work but we needed updates of those still to find 😂.

I have run 2-3 WRQ to allow @Mi-Amigo to join in. The questions didn't pose a problem,  the results did! Took me ages to get those out and people were moaning like hell. I thought it would be easy as I stored everyone's answers in One Note but couldn't do the stars or images there. Nightmare. 😂

An hour after I gave answers, I eventually managed to post the full results. What a damn disaster

So yes, a break is called for and at least I know I can have my hair done on a Tuesday for the next 2 weeks 😍

I can't always join in as much as I'd like these days, but I know you do a heck of a lot of work to keep us all amused, so enjoy your break @Mi-Amigo, you deserve it.

Well - with about 4inches of snow outside, and no chance of getting up our street and out onto the main road... today would have been an excellent day for a WHD.

Still:

A 10-letter with repeats from the puzzle page of an old newspaper kept me amused: >> ISDAIRYBUS <<

It wouldn't have been a good day for me @pgn as I've been out most of the time. Bitterly cold though!

Out again tomorrow (morning and afternoon), also late morning Thursday.

Very good, @Cleoriff 😂 I do hope the snow makes a good job of disappearing - I have a physio appointment in the local hospital at 2pm Weds and don't fancy playing hunt-the-parking-space in a frozen, snow-covered car-park... people have a bad enough time parking between the lines as it is!

Interesting that we both have a hospital appt at 2pm tomorrow.

Mind you, I also have another appt at 11am in the same hospital. They  should give me my own parking space! 😂
