Will a person you called accidentally see that you called?

Anonymous

I accidentally dialled the wrong person and the call shows up in my 'Dialled Calls' category. However, the call is listed as lasting 00:00:00. Will the person I called see that I dialled them, or not? I'm on a Samsung flip-phone. Thanks slight_smile

Did you hear a ringtone or hang up before?

Thanks for the quick reply, I didn't hear a ring tone and the screen said 'calling' just as I hit the Hang Up button frantically! A ringtone may have gone off in the split second between when I lowered the phone from my ear and when I hit the button, but I can't be sure.

There would be no way of telling if it registered on the person's phone before you disconnected, but if it said 'calling' I would imagine that it did.

If it was a quick realisation and you hung up immediately you should be OK - It always takes mobiles longer to connect than it does a land line....

Ok, sounds like there's a good chance it didn't but can't be sure...it's a delicate situation and a missed call might cause a bit of chaos! Better to be safe than sorry I think and follow it up with a 'sorry' text...

Might be the politic thing to do just to cover your back.

I'm intrigued, what's with the panic and secrecy around this call? Spill the beans... slight_smile
