As mentioned in the Advanced Notice on Monday, the eight questions in this week`s quiz are all, is some way, related to the theme of "Alice" - but don`t worry they are not all about "Alice in Wonderland"; and there is no QI-style question, where the answer is not what everyone thinks it is.

There are a couple of questions which some might find a bit "tricky"... Good luck, everyone

Q4 [PEOPLE] What is the real name of the singer Alice Cooper ?

 

Q5 [MUSIC] Which band released the song "Living Next Door To Alice" in 1972?

 

Q6 [GEOGRAPHY] Where, in England, is the statue of suffragette Alice Hawkins ?

 

Q7 [HISTORY] Who was the grandmother of Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone?

 

Q8 [WORDS] Where did the name Alice originate from? 

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members of the Community.

 

Those who want to take part must pm [private message] me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Wednesday 29 April] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Thursday 30 April]

- allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

 

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

 

The answers - and the results for each player taking part - will be posted on Friday morning.

 

Each member will be awarded star for each correct answer. In addition, each member who gives

 

              EIGHT correct answers               SIX correct answers                     FOUR correct answers

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Wed 29 April 2020] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] on Thursday 30 April 2020.

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Thursday 30 April will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz. 

 

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

Thank you @Cleoriff for your kind words about the quizzes.

I love researching and arranging them as it is an escape for me from what is going on all around us.

       Some pms mentioned Greek origin. I spent yesterday checking and the only reference to a Greek

       origin is in "baby names" books and websites with no source or reference given - so, sorry, but

       Greek is an incorrect answer.

Just goes to show @Mi-Amigo as I said in my pm to you with my answers I was expecting nil correct

I should have answered Q7 instead of passing. I thought of Queen Victoria but we all know what thought did don't we?

Thought he fell out of bed so went to have a look LOL

No point for thought ... need action ... note to self smiling
