There are two White Room Quizzes each week - one on Monday and one on Wednesday.

 

Today`s White Room Quiz is the third of a three-part Odd Questions A-Z quiz

Instead of 8 questions - with two questions on each of four of the usual categories, there will be 8 questions

but one question on each of 8 subjects - with each subject based on a letter of the alphabet

   R - RHYMING SLANG; S - SIGNS; T - TUBE STATIONS; U - UNIFORMS; V - VEHICLES; W - WHEELS;

   Y - YELLOW;  Z -ZEROS

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

Those wishing to take part must pm me - @Mi-Amigo  - their answers between 12 noon today [Monday] and 11.59pm tomorrow [Tuesday].

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

Q2 S - SIGNS. What is the UK road sign for a National Trust property ahead ?

 

Q3 T - TUBE STATIONS. Harrow and Wealdstone tube station is on which London underground tube line ?

 

Q4 U - UNIFORMS. What was a puttree, which could be part of army uniform until WW2 ?

 

Q5 V - VEHICLES. What type of vehicle was the SRN4 ?

 

Q6 W - WHEELS. How many wheels, in total, did the Flying Scotsman steam locomotive have when completed

                             in 1923 ?

 

Q7 Y - YELLOW. Historically, a yellow flag was flown on ships to indicate what ?

 

Q8 Z - ZEROS. The number decillion is 1 followed by how many zeros ?

Those who want to take part must send a pm [private message] to me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Mon 25 July 2022] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 26 July 2022] - allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

The answers - and results for each player taking part - will be posted on morning of Wednesday 27 July 2022

Each member will be awarded star.pngfor each correct answer. In addition, Thinkers will be awarded as follows

THE RULES

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Mon 25 July 2022] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 26 July 2022].

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Tues 26 July 2022 will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz. 

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

Although it’s after the deadline now I fortunately got my answers off to you via PM before the cutoff.

 

That said 7 out of 8 of them were guesses! 😂 So I don’t hold my breath this time and am already looking forward to the answers!
