Well done all and thanks @Mi-Amigo

Thanks @Cleoriff
A search of google does give links claiming Hargreaves as the inventor of the spinning jenny.
However, Thomas Higgs is also referred to as Thomas Highs [note surname] in references I gave in Answers.
A google search of Thomas Highs -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Highs
gives account [with refs] of Highs inventions and also mentions Highs accused Arkwright of stealing his invention

I find it a fascinating read @Mi-Amigo. Problem lies with Hargreaves and Arkwright not slamming patents on their inventions and Higgs did, which caused a lot of animosity and THAT is putting it mildly 😂
Your article never mentions Hargreaves either, just Arkwright and Higgs!! No wonder no-one got it correct Lol x

Well that WAS tricky, @Mi-Amigo - and open to interpretation. Blows my GIF of Nurse G-g-g-gladys out of the water too 🤣
Good quiz, and your new reference books are making a silver thinker harder to get 👍
Well done all participants and off to see what is up for discussion in the current WRQ 🧐😉

What an interesting read about the Spinning Jenny, I assumed it was named after someone but had no idea it was the inventors daughter. It very much was the trick question that 'tricked' us all.
Great questions on this WRQ Mi-Amigo, such a mixture for me, between impossible and slightly more in line with my tv/ film brain. 😅
Well done all, see you again on the Wednesday WRQ.
Ps. Glad you liked the gif Cleoriff, who doesn't like Jack Sparrow, the cheeky chappie that always comes good.
