Great quiz for the first WRQ of the week this week, @Mi-Amigo - and nearly all Thinkers too 👍.

Not sure how much the lack of Notifications will affect the 2nd WRQ of the week - the flow of Community/Forum e-mails has dried up for me this morning, and many Notifications are stale (strangely, not the WRQ notifications - but no e-mails from them either 😢

Great Quiz @Mi-Amigo  and well done everyone. yahoo

@pgn  the flow of emails from here dried up for me on Monday night...and nothing has changed at all!

Whilst drinking mint tea in the hotel conservatory Cadmium came to mind for the Chemistry question (I have yet to look up the answers)

I was really quite sure I had Bobby Goldsborough answer nailed, but struggled with the spelling

Tonsilitis is wrong then

I was kinda hopeful of obtaining, for the 1st time, a Silver Thinker award

Not to be

Now I shall look up the answers

Enjoyed this quiz @Mi-Amigo Thank you for compiling it slight_smile

Cd is Cadmium, one whose salts give off a brick-red colour in a flame.

Cm is Curium - the only other letter in the element name not already used for a different element is i!  (Cu - Copper, Cr - Chromium, Ci - not used)

There are many more elements starting with "C", probably the most common letter when symbols are sorted alphabetically, closely folowed by N, I suspect.

I quite enjoyed inorganic chemistry at school, @Anonymous  - and anything that flashed or banged wink

Learning by rote sticks ... think times tables @pgn @MI5 @Cleoriff @jonsie @Mi-Amigo

I enjoyed Chemistry at senior school ... loved the experiments best ... are they allowed now in schools?

Have GCE grade 4 in the subject ... graded 1-10 ... 7-10 was a fail ... around about 50 years ago!
