Well done all!
The old magnifying glass was out for that New Zealand mountain though, it has to be said! 🧐 Many famous feature names reverting to the original local name from the older colonial name, and rightly so.
Take Uluru as another antipodean example...
Thanks, @Mi-Amigo, great quiz, new and old alike.

Well done everyone. wink

Thanks yet again to @Mi-Amigo  for devising a quiz relevant to the old and new year. Really clever and needed much research.

Agree with @pgn  Mount Cook and it's Maori name was a bit of a bind and funnily enough, the Shakespeare question was an inspired guess. (Although more obvious now) rofl

Thank you @MI5  @pgn  @Cleoriff

Pleased you enjoyed the quiz and congratulation to each of you on getting a Gold Thinker.

The New Zealand mountain question wasn`t easy and came from the new quiz book which I got for Xmasjoy I thought it might be nice to share it with all the regular quizzers wink

I hope you, and all the regulars, like the categories and questions in today`s "Odd Questions" WRQ, which is now up on a separate thread.
