Oh and talking abput the Coventry Theatre in the 60's....A few other 'minor' bands who appeared there Whistle The Byrds, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and Queen....

I also saw the Rolling Stones at the Locarno Ballroom Coventry.... again...in the 60's wink

For me, the best band to come out of the sixties was the Kinks. I've seen Ray Davies in concert playing to an audience of all ages, and some of the classic hits still sound timeless today.

I like the Kinks as well @Anonymous  needless to say I have seen them. (I sound like a groupie lol )

One of my husbands all time favourite groups from the 60's is The Who. We have been to many, many of their concerts. He would still pay to see them now... though moan like hell at the ticket prices LOL
