Hi guys, happy Friday and almost-weekend
I see loads of different member names here on the community, sometimes funny ones or strange ones too which are fun to spot. I wonder where they originate from so would like to ask you all:
Where does your username come from?
Is there a story behind it, or is it simply your first name (or part of it), like mine? I know some of your stories from over the years but it would be lovely to hear more.
Thanks!

Didn't get a chance to catch up with this topic until now, loving all the stories. And no worries, I'm not in a wrist-slapping mood.
I also thought @Anonymous when I saw the front of the mug that your nickname was Air Traffic Control.
& I'm very curious now @MI5!
@Anonymous I knew the Wispa part but didn't remember where the Red came from, nice to know! I was wondering if it was another cat.

I have used the same username for many years. I think it was the original username when I became an O2 customer about 15 years ago

Mines just my name and 'O2'. In previous Community Management jobs I've used a more obscure username but as most other staff on this Community have used their own names I thought I'd follow the trend.

That's what I did too @Martin-O2.

Been a bit busy so just got to this.
Mine is just a contraction of my name and was originally my Compuserve address a long long time ago as my name was already in use, and it stuck.

Not by blood. However I had a load of cousins who lived in South Elmsall and their Nan was my 'adopted Nan... My own grandmother (a Geordie) was an unspeakable tyrant.
So I used to spend a few summer holidays in Yorkshire...as well as Sunderland with my aunt...
