So many apps doing free calls these days we are spoilt for choice. All of my family have Whatsapp and Skype and my Thai friends mostly use Line and Viber.

No doubt you'll get plenty of use from it while you're away.

yes without a doubt. I finally gave up my legacy Simplicity but the only downside to that was losing the 4:1 free text messages from abroad.
