I'm now actually paying coppers more for 3GB, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts on a 12 month sim only.

Re WhatsApp calls, could we see mobile operators effectively stopping this in a way similar to how they sort of stop tethering? ??

They could block the ports used on mobile data or provider wifi but they can't touch a personal wifi connection.
