Hey guys,
If you had to pick one moment from all time sporting history as your favourite or most stand out moment what would it be?
I’m only a casual follower of team sports but for me Rene Higuita’s scorpion-kick save from the England v Colombia friendly in 1995 was out of this world! Totally unexpected and he pulled it off too!
How about you guys, what great sporting moments really stick in your mind?

Nah, none of the big clubs seems to take it seriously these days.....

What a great discussion
I'm racking my brains to come up with the greatest moment in sport, but I think Nadia Comaneci's routine on the uneven bars in the 1976 Montreal Olympics is one of the most memorable. And if memory serves me well (the video that Cleoriff posted doesn't play on my PC at work), it was the first time a perfect 10 had ever been recorded, and the scoreboard only registered it as 1.00 (it wasn't set up to include 4 digits).

That was the only one that literally made the hair on the back of my head stand up and send shivers down my spine....
I cried when the final whistle went.
Was surprised how many fans turned off and missed the end .
You should always watch a match til the final whistle
That reminds me of when Liverpool beat AC Milan to win the Champions League in 2005. Losing 3 nil at half time, they looked well beaten and totally outclassed, before staging a magnificent comeback to take the match into extra time, and then winning the penalty shoot-out. It was pure drama, but I remember seeing a lot of disconsolate scousers leaving the stadium early, because they thought their team's challenge was over. Imagine travelling all that way, and end up missing one of your team's finest victories.
