What's happened to 02 :(

Anonymous
Not applicable

Been with 02 for around 8 years, in that time I've seen the best tariffs disappear, god knows how many updates to the website; to the point where each time I have to spend more and more time trying to find the things I need, broken my mobile yesterday and logged in today to a text delivery company to let them know I was home for an xmas delivery "all part of the service you know" anyway, seems that 02 no longer allow the 10 free texts, which honestly is a bit tight when you consider how much I've put in.

To boot the site has changed again, now I can't even find the email address and am only given options to either live chat, which does nothing to resolve my issue or FAQ's and a forum, it seems that 02 like many others now cannot be bothered to reply to emails so much so its nion impossible to locate the email address, now excuse me if I'm wrong but email is still widely used, I'm not sending a telegram here, just a bloody email. Anyway was kind of the final straw on the host of issues I've had over the last 12 months, so been out and bought a Voda simcard today, disappointed with 02 it's gone right down hill, I always loved the simplicity of 02 which was a huge contributory factor for me choosing them as my carrier, but alas its all complicated now, beyond me! I feel like I'm no longer the target market, must be all these kids with Chavberry phones I guess.

Email is here.

Free texts were off the same server as O2 webmail which has closed....

Anything else we can help with ?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

There is no email address on that link you posted?! its yet another help screen where I have to chose a problem which is not listed nor is it correct, I have to pick a problem that I don't have. Then I'm invited to a live chat, not what I'm looking for, email address'es have this symbol in them " @ " that is what I was looking for not another helpless help screen.

This is the issue, I can no longer navigate the site they way I liked, no longer see visible clear information such as a email address, and as for the email of 02 being closed, that does not really go the whole way as to why you removed the text, granted it was on the same server so 02 as a customer based company could have; had something in place to replace the service, simply saying its closed because we don't offer email is not really a solution. That's just saying oh well tough luck, this is what we have, we no longer offer that service you have come to expect from us. & no thank you, nothing you can help with now, I'm no longer an 02 customer of from today.

Your account cannot be discussed via email as it's insecure, if you don't want to use the message page you'll have to phone them.

Would have been happy to phone them, but as mentioned my mobile was broken, hence I had no phone & could not leave the house or I'd have missed the delivery. Still never found the email address, but I did manage to find a really old un-updated webpage from this site with the contact form, which I hate using, I just wanted the email address, it should not be a difficult thing to find surely!

Blackberry phones are not Chavvy, for a start most Chavs have fat fingers, which renders something like a BB useless to them.

And no, I am NOT A Chav despite currently residng in Sheffield 6 and I have fat fingers.

O2 have changed there contact options for a reason.

1 Live chat is instant (but limited)

2 Email could take 24 hours and then you still had to pass security

3 O2 call it customer defelection with the aim to resolve the issue faster than the old email system.

4 Many of us have complained about this change many times.

5 O2 have since the sale of adsl to sky taken the decission to remove the free sms service and email system.

But as you have already voted with your feet o2 will not care they are still growing customers year on year
