Oh one of my Fav groups is a German group (When i was in Germany)
Dschinghis Khan.
Put it in youtube and have a look.
I cant understand half of the words, but they have a good beat, even was in Eurovision Song contest in 70's lol
2 Fav songs are Moscow and temudschin.

They don't have a real message in their songs, so don't worry that you can't understand everything 
"Moskau" just tells how beautiful Moskow and Russia are
"Dschinghis Khan" just tells how Genghis Khan lived
But on parties still a hit x) "Hey Reiter, ho Reiter, immer weiter..."
Now it's stuck in my head again 
i love everything from 40s/50s rockabilly, through to 80s glam rock, the screamo scene and currently metal and acoustic folk ( City and Colour ect) bringing my kid up to appreciate a wide range
