What made me happy today...

Hey guys.

In one of my old forums I was a member of (not existing anymore since this year), we had a thread where everybody just told in short what made them happy this day. Thought it would be nice for here too!

To start: I'm working for EMS and my first call today was am expected birth. So we hoped we would be able to bring her into hospital just in time. But it didn't work. I was at the patient and she just said "it's coming"... My team-mate was driving REALLY fast, it took him about an kilometer to brake - during that time the baby was just born. Even we were a really young team and not long into job, we did VERY well and even the doctors told us we did excellent.

(Our last call was a reanimation on the street, the woman did not get an own circulation again.... But I guess that's the circle of life :D)

It appears the sun has returned so a visit to the garden centre might well be on the cards today or tomorrow.

I have all these pots begging me to plant them with colourful flowers ....and I have been given a 20% off everything voucher from Dobbies.

This will stop himself going on about the cost. (The same rally cry we get every year)

If I have any nonsense, I might just ask him to remind me of the cost of his new flat green bowls

Lovely photo @ComaChameleon ... as said elsewhere I overlook the Leeds Liverpool canal & enjoy looking at the canal art & names of the narrow & wide berth boats

Today the sun is shining with uninterrupted blue sky atm 8c with a high of 13c forecast

I am going to be 'beautified' today ... I know it'll take some time ...

What a stressfull week!

So my contract ends on thursday... Today I picked up my stuff from watch and cleared my locker. Weird feeling. But nice my new job starts on friday.

This week I was in Alkmaar, Netherlands....

It was cheesemarket and there were only Germans! The guys really RAN with this things with cheese on it! Really lovely city, beautiful old part of town.

We went by train (got special offer tickets in a shop in NL), but due to a fire on another train we had to wait 2,5 hours in Utrecht. But nice trip.

It's always strange starting a new job but I agree, it doesn't feel brilliant clearing your locker and knowing that it is a sense of finality of your ld way of life. New colleagues to meet but sadly leaving many behind.

Alkmaar looks very nice but at least the train problems were worth it and the trip would have hopefully taken your mind off the changes to come in your life.
