Hey guys.

In one of my old forums I was a member of (not existing anymore since this year), we had a thread where everybody just told in short what made them happy this day. Thought it would be nice for here too! slight_smile

To start: I'm working for EMS and my first call today was am expected birth. So we hoped we would be able to bring her into hospital just in time. But it didn't work. I was at the patient and she just said "it's coming"... My team-mate was driving REALLY fast, it took him about an kilometer to brake - during that time the baby was just born. Even we were a really young team and not long into job, we did VERY well and even the doctors told us we did excellent.

(Our last call was a reanimation on the street, the woman did not get an own circulation again.... But I guess that's the circle of life :D)

I'm pleased it's nothing major @JamieB14 , I have stage three kidney disease and was diagnosed eight years ago. It's not caused me any real problems at all so I hope you don't suffer any either.

Faith in human nature restored today...

New carer came to collect shopping list - inc bread, eggs, washing up liquid, soap, toilet rolls, paracetamol

Carer went to Asda. Parked up. Huge queues - with security staff asking people to keep soical distance.

Everyone agreed. No trouble.

Security staff, seeing carer`s uniform, asked my carer if NHS nurse getting food for self [nurse] or other nurses, or carer shopping for client. When security staff told, my carer was accompanied by security to head of queue and into the storeto do shopping. No pushing, greed, abuse at till.

Carer got everything on the list. Brought it to my home. Came in and put it away for me.

I am so so grateful. It shows there are people [not just carers] out there who are trying to make life a little easier for folks like me

This has made my day....

@Cleoriff

Brilliant news. With social media reports over the weekend of near riot in Dudley, I didn`t expect this.

I`m gonna message Asda to thank them and call the care manager to thank them.

Thanks @jonsie

Sorry to hear your cleaner has bailed out.

Mine came on Friday last week as usual and is coming this Friday.

With all the attention on cleanliness during Covid crisis surely you should have a cleaning call?
