Hey guys.
In one of my old forums I was a member of (not existing anymore since this year), we had a thread where everybody just told in short what made them happy this day. Thought it would be nice for here too!
To start: I'm working for EMS and my first call today was am expected birth. So we hoped we would be able to bring her into hospital just in time. But it didn't work. I was at the patient and she just said "it's coming"... My team-mate was driving REALLY fast, it took him about an kilometer to brake - during that time the baby was just born. Even we were a really young team and not long into job, we did VERY well and even the doctors told us we did excellent.
(Our last call was a reanimation on the street, the woman did not get an own circulation again.... But I guess that's the circle of life :D)

Very few people do Avon in our neck of the woods now. We used to have one who posted the brochure every month thrrough our letter box.
Then we had 'Avon Turf Wars' ...when a new Avon lady started to post as well. I rang the regular one and the other one was instructed to find another area to work.

My wife does Avon.
I say my wife. I mean me.
Avon are almost actively trying to disrupt their UK business:
They have removed Avon areas and you can canvas where you like.
They actively try and push their website and selling online (when 60-70% of their shoppers don't like it).
Can see them struggling with the impact Covid will have on them - they have stopped producing brochures and haven't said when they will restart...
Anyone remember Kleneze ? My mum did that when I was a teenager.

Tupperware.. I thought that went out with the arc!!I think other companies cashed in on the plastic container market @Anonymous
In the 70's we used to have Tupperware parties where we bought loads of the stuff.
Tupperware is really handy. Helps tidy the fridge and freezer

Boy and dog, getting their exercise in the field just up the road this afternoon:
The hills of the Inishowen peninsula in the distance, across Lough Foyle, to the north.
T'is said hereabouts that the most northerly part of Ireland is in the South - the grassy bit in the foreground, and the houses, are in County Derry, Northern Ireland; the Inishowen peninsula, in the distance, is in County Donegal, in the Republic, or South, of Ireland.
