Douglas Adams and Mark Carwardine collaborated on a book about species near-extinction.

This was later televised on BBC, "Last Chance To See", with Stephen Fry taking the role of the then late Douglas.

I read he is not firm in his thinking rightly so : we humans are not unique in the ability to learn from the experience of others - there are many species that watch their own and learn and definitely want to. I agree with his last point that's because life has become too comfortable for humans 🤔😲 😴😴😴
