Canal still frozen over ... fog over the hills ... -1c ... max 1c forecast ... Christmas market in Skipton today - I will go so long as it is not snowing / sleeting.

Snowed on the hills surrounding Skipton, but town was comparatively warmer with paths and roads not icy.

Lots of people. Needed to be well wrapped up against the weather though. I hope the Christmas market was successful ..... I consumed Wild Boar burger, Rolo brownie, hot chocolate with trimmings & hot mulled wine. Bought some stretchable trousers which need shortening. Finished up at Speakeasy bar with people I have come to know. Warmer temperatures forecast tomorrow. Snow up the Leeds / Lancaster / Morecambe train line, but visiting a good friend who wants to show me his new apartment and will be cooking a meal for us. Have got some vanilla fudge to give him = he has a sweet tooth xx

Very cold ... using fingerless gloves to type ... 3c now forecast rising to 4c.

No snow, and the frost has been replaced with rain.

Not much warmer - it was 6c according to the car on the drive this morning.

Bright sun now, but wet patches froze overnight at -2degC  making it tricky to negotiate the front path and driveway at 8am today. Rained some at 9am.

If it freezes as hard again tonight, it will be like a bottle Tues morning 🥶
