However, this morning was a revelation. Woke at 6am and thought it was 2 hrs earlier as it was dark.

8am the rain started. Absolutely lashing down

Still warm though 17c. Maybe Ray will get lucky, as it's raining am, it could be sunny this afternoon?! 😂

Far too hot again last night.

This morning seemed cooler, and for 10 minutes had some relief thanks to the rain.
Didn't last long - been sunny and getting hotter since mid morning.

Thunderstorms are forecast for a couple of hours later. Fingers crossed...

Rained during the night but didn't seem to freshen up the air.

Today another pleasant sunny day 26c high.

Had to go out for a shingles jab yesterday ..... wore a sundress, but forgot silly cotton sun hat.

After the rain, out came the sun, It reached 27c . Very overcast now so rain on the way, Hopefully,

Morning coffee at 10am and lunch at 1pm on the patio in the back garden in the (broken) sunshine; not so at 5pm, it darkened over and spat a bit of rain - enough to wet the ground, not enough to water anything. 19degC and heavily overcast now.

Thursday :-

Clear blue skies and bright sunshine until about 2.30pm. Then it clouded over and we had torrential thunderstorms. Dry but still heavy cloud as I write.

Hot and sticky ; about 22 degrees celsius at the time of writing but was nudging 29 degrees celsius at lunchtime.
