Hey guys,

I wanted to share this fantastic set if images from the 2016 Weather Photographer of the Year competition run by the the Royal Meteorological Society and The Royal Photographic Society. The images are the finalists for this year’s competition.

You can see the full range of finalist images using this link. I’m a big fan of nature photography in particular, what about you guys? What sort of images do you find most pleasing to the eye?

That's beautiful @viridis. Lovely contrast of colours in the right amounts. I miss taking pictures. You should post any more you take, I'm sure everyone loves them as much as I do :).

Have you ever studies photography, or is it just practice?

Just practice, I like the flexibility of the drone as it has full controls (excluding focus as it's fixed) and you can save as DNG RAW which gives a lot more control over editing

Some of the weather photos were beautiful but I'm not sure how the final one was included.

Some lovely shots there @viridis! You get a very unique perspective from the drone.

@jonsie I quite liked that shot. No where near as dramatic as the others in the series but it captures a rainy day in the UK quite nicely.
